About Me

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in East-West Psychology from the Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. I lived in the SF Bay Area for close to 15 years, studying and training in a range of powerful therapeutic approaches including Focusing, EMDR, trauma oriented therapies and Expressive Arts modalities. I worked as a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in various settings in the SF Bay Area as well as in private practice before returning to my birth place in Switzerland in early 2009.

I worked with a team of researchers at the University of Zurich on a study funded by the Swiss National Research Foundation. Later, I taught a course on how to work with traumatized clients in social work at FHNW and began to teach German and English as a foreign language.

Building on my training and experience as a psychotherapist, I have since obtained certification as an Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner and use Emotional Freedom Techniques as a powerful approach to help my clients experience breakthroughs in their quest for healing and self-actualization.
